Dr. Michael Haby

About Professor Haby:
Michael G. Haby serves the seafood production, utilization and marketing sectors through a joint appointment with the Texas AgriLife Extension Service and the Sea Grant College Program at Texas A&M University. His research and outreach efforts focus on (a) the creation of various policies, procedures, and practices to help domestic shrimp producers remain viable despite record-setting fuel costs and extremely low shrimp prices, (b) standardized performance analyses for offshore shrimp producers that measure financial performance and progress, (c) quality improvement and third-party certification for shrimp producers and processors, and (d) design and implementation of seafood quality and safety management systems for the retail food sector.
